A few little questions?
I've got you.
From tiny newborn cuddles to first birthdays and the day you say "I do", there's a lot to think about. Here's everything you might be wondering before we create something beautiful together.
Come as you are, pop the kettle on and have a little read. And if I've missed anything, I'm only ever a message away.
The little things matter, too.
I want you to feel looked after long before you step in front of my camera. Choose your kind of session below, open any question and know that there's absolutely no pressure to have it all figured out.
When should we book?
These timings are simply a helpful guide, not a deadline. You don't need to have every detail worked out before you say hello — I'd love to hear from you whenever you begin dreaming about your session.
A little note from me: Please always get in touch, even if your plans are still taking shape. Popular dates — especially newborn due dates, wedding weekends and those gorgeous golden-hour evenings — can be booked well in advance, so enquiring early gives us the best chance of securing a date you love. And if you're a little last-minute? Message me anyway! I'll always be happy to check what's possible. I'd love to be part of your story.
Booking & the little details
All the things you might be wondering before we meet.
How do I book a photography session?
Oh, how lovely that you're thinking of booking! Just send me a little message telling me which session you're dreaming of and any dates you have in mind. I'll check availability, help you choose a collection and explain the next steps. No confusing forms to work out on your own — just a friendly chat, and we'll take it from there.
Is a booking deposit required?
Yes, a booking deposit secures your place in my diary. For standard sessions, I'll confirm the amount when we arrange your booking; weddings require a larger deposit because I'm reserving your entire day. Everything will be explained clearly, including payment dates, before you decide. No surprises, promise.
How much does a session cost and what is included?
There's a collection for each kind of beautiful chapter, with session details and included digital images set out on the relevant photography page. If you're torn between packages, tell me what matters most to you and I'll happily help you choose. I want you to feel excited about your photographs, not overwhelmed by options.
What if I need to cancel or rearrange my session?
Life with little ones (and wedding plans!) doesn't always run to schedule. If something changes, please message me as early as you can. We'll look at the options together, based on my availability and the cancellation or rescheduling terms agreed when you book.
Where are you based?
I'm based in Suffolk and photograph both relaxed studio sessions and beautiful outdoor locations across Suffolk and Norfolk. Whether you're picturing soft, creamy studio portraits or a windswept beach with the people you love, we'll find a setting that feels just right.
What if I feel awkward in front of a camera?
You're definitely not alone — honestly, so many people tell me this! You don't have to turn up knowing how to pose or what to do with your hands. I'll gently guide you, chat away and make room for the real smiles and cuddles. Think of me as your biggest cheerleader, rather than someone asking you to perform for a camera.
What should we wear?
Start with clothes that make you feel comfortable and completely yourselves. Soft colours, simple layers and lovely textures photograph beautifully, but there's no need to buy an entirely new wardrobe. Once we've chosen your session and location, I'm always happy to help you put outfits together.
When will we receive our photographs?
I know you'll be excited to see them — I would be too! Turnaround times vary depending on the session and time of year, so I'll explain your expected gallery delivery timeframe when you book. If you're hoping to use your images for a birthday, announcement or special gift, please tell me in advance so we can plan with that in mind.
How do we receive and choose our photographs?
You'll receive your photographs through an online gallery, where you can enjoy those lovely little moments all over again. If your collection includes choosing a set number of images, I'll explain how to select your favourites; and if you fall in love with more, I'll talk you through the available extras before you purchase anything.
Will you share our photographs on your website or Instagram?
I adore sharing the stories I capture, but I also understand that some moments are just for you. If you'd prefer your photographs to stay private, please let me know so we can discuss image-sharing permissions. Your comfort matters to me, both during the session and afterwards.
Can we choose additional photographs?
Of course you can ask! Different collections include different numbers of edited digital images, and extra photographs or gallery upgrades may be available. I'll always explain the options and price before you decide, so there's no pressure at all.
Newborn photography
Tiny fingers, sleepy cuddles and a whole lot of love.
When should I book my newborn session?
As soon as you've had your 12-week or 20-week scan is a lovely time to get in touch. We reserve your due date in my diary rather than booking a fixed photoshoot day, because babies have their own ideas about timing! I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month so I can leave room for those early and late arrivals. Once your little one is here, we'll arrange your actual session date together — usually around two to three weeks after birth, depending on how you and baby are doing.
And if you're expecting an induction or planned caesarean, just send me an update as soon as you know. We'll keep everything flexible around your baby's arrival.
Can I enquire after my baby is born?
Of course you can, lovely! It's always worth sending me a message. I take a limited number of newborn sessions each month, so booking during pregnancy gives us the best chance of planning ahead, but I'll happily check for space if your little one is already here.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
Babies are very good at making their own plans, aren't they? That's exactly why we reserve your due date first. Whether baby makes an early appearance, takes their time, or your induction or planned caesarean date changes, just keep me in the loop. Message me when you have an update and again once baby arrives, and we'll find a suitable session date together, subject to availability. One less thing to worry about, lovely.
How old should my baby be?
For those tiny, sleepy, curled-up newborn photographs, I usually aim for the first two to three weeks after birth. But please don't worry if that window doesn't work for you — older babies have the most beautiful expressions and connections, too. We'll plan around your little one's age, comfort and what you'd love to remember.
How long does a newborn photoshoot last?
That depends on the collection you choose. My published newborn collections include a one-hour option, sessions of up to three hours, and sessions of up to four hours. The longer options leave more breathing room for feeding, changing, settling and all those baby cuddles. We're working around your baby's needs — never the other way around.
What if my baby won't sleep or settle?
Oh lovely, please don't give this a second thought. I promise your baby does not need to be a perfect sleeper! We'll pause for feeds, changes and cuddles whenever they're needed, and I'll follow baby's lead. As your self-appointed professional baby cuddler, I'm very happy to take things slowly. And those wide-awake eyes? Sometimes they're the photographs parents treasure most.
Can parents and siblings be in the photographs?
Those first photographs together are some of my favourites — the tiny hand wrapped around a finger, a proud big brother or sister, and you holding the person you've waited so long to meet. Let me know who you'd like to include when you enquire and I'll check what's included in your chosen collection so we can plan it beautifully.
What should I bring to my newborn session?
Nothing too complicated, lovely — your usual changing bag is the perfect place to start. A few little extras will help us keep things calm and cosy:
- Milk and feeding essentials — bottles, expressed milk or formula if you use them, plus anything you normally need to feed baby.
- Nappies, wipes and a changing mat — with a couple of spares, just in case.
- Muslins and a spare outfit — because newborns like to keep us on our toes!
- A favourite blanket, teddy or meaningful keepsake — only if you'd love it included in a photograph.
- A little something for you — a drink, snack and your phone for a few behind-the-scenes memories if you fancy.
Most importantly, bring your gorgeous baby exactly as they are. You don't need to keep them awake or change their usual feeding routine for the sake of a photograph. We'll take breaks whenever needed, and I'll look after the little details.
How do you keep my newborn comfortable and safe?
Your baby's comfort and wellbeing will always come before a photograph. I work gently, support little bodies carefully, take plenty of breaks and never push a pose that doesn't feel right. If there's anything about your baby's health, birth or handling needs you'd like me to know, please tell me beforehand — we can talk through what will be suitable for them.
Maternity photography
The beautiful wait before your first hello.
When is the best time for maternity photographs?
A lovely time is often around 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully visible and you're hopefully still comfortable moving around. There's no perfect week for everyone, though, and every pregnancy is different. We'll choose a date that feels right for you, your energy and the kind of photographs you're dreaming of.
When should I book my maternity session?
You're welcome to get in touch after your 12-week or 20-week scan to reserve a date, especially if you're hoping for a weekend or a particular time of year. I usually suggest having your photographs taken around 28–34 weeks, but we'll plan around how you're feeling and your pregnancy. You don't have to wait until your bump is big to say hello!
I'm nervous about my changing body. Is that okay?
More than okay, lovely. You don't have to love every change or feel confident every second to deserve beautiful photographs. I'll gently guide you, help with your hands and angles, and make sure you feel comfortable and celebrated. You're growing a whole little human — that's an extraordinary chapter, and I'd love you to remember how special it was.
Can my partner or children join me?
Absolutely ask me about including the people who are already so excited to meet your baby. I love capturing those gentle bump cuddles and the little ones who can't wait to become big siblings. Let me know who you'd like there and I'll explain what's possible within your chosen session.
Studio or outdoor maternity photographs?
Both are gorgeous, just in different ways. The studio has that calm, soft, intimate feel; a Suffolk or Norfolk beach or countryside setting brings movement, light and a little adventure. Tell me the mood you love and we'll choose somewhere that feels like you.
What should I wear?
Think something you feel comfortable and beautiful in — perhaps a flowing dress, soft knitwear or a simple outfit that shows your bump. I can help you coordinate colours and choose pieces that photograph beautifully in the studio or outdoors. There is no need to arrive with everything figured out; that's what I'm here for.
Are hair, makeup or flowers available for my maternity session?
They can be, yes! My maternity options include professional hair and makeup for an additional fee, and we can discuss flowers arranged through a local Beccles florist if you'd love something extra special. Tell me your ideas early so we can look at availability, options and costs together.
Cake smash & first birthdays
One whole year of wonderful you.
When should I book a cake smash?
For a first birthday, I'd recommend getting in touch around six to eight weeks beforehand, or earlier if you have a particular date or theme in mind. If you'd like to use the photographs for invitations or birthday decorations, it's best to plan the actual session around three to four weeks before the birthday. Just let me know your deadline when you enquire, and I'll confirm what timing is realistic for your gallery.
Is the cake included?
Yes — the cake smash packages currently listed on my website include a bespoke cake and decorations. We'll chat about your colours and the overall look before the big day. Whether you love simple creamy neutrals or a little more birthday magic, I want it to feel beautifully personal to your child.
Can we personalise the colours or theme?
Please do! I love seeing your ideas, whether that's an elegant, neutral setup or something inspired by your little one's personality. We'll choose colours and details together ahead of time so everything feels considered without being over the top.
What if my child has food allergies?
Please tell me about any allergies or dietary needs before the cake is arranged. I'll check with the cake supplier what can be accommodated, and we'll agree an appropriate plan before proceeding. Your little one's wellbeing is always more important than getting a cake photograph.
What if my baby doesn't want to smash the cake?
That's absolutely fine — and very normal! Some babies go straight in with both hands; others give the cake a very suspicious look before touching it with one tiny finger. We'll go at your child's pace, have a giggle and capture their lovely personality either way. There is no "right" way to smash a cake.
What happens during the session?
Oh, this is such a lovely one! We can begin with optional family portraits if you'd like everyone in a few photographs together, followed by some gorgeous Mum & Me and Dad & Me moments. Then we'll capture some beautiful clean birthday portraits of your little one before the mess begins.
Next comes the main event — the cake smash! Whether they dive straight in, taste one tiny fingerful or give me the funniest expressions, I'll be there photographing every little reaction. And when the cake adventure is over, we'll finish with a lovely warm bubble bath — and yes, I photograph those splashes and giggles too!
It's a gorgeous little story of their first birthday, from cuddles and clean portraits to cake-covered smiles and bubbly toes. We'll follow your child's lead throughout, with time for a breather whenever they need it. Just let me know if you'd love to include the family portraits when we plan your session.
Can I book first-birthday portraits without a cake smash?
Of course! Not every little one wants a cake, and not every parent wants the mess. Birthday portraits can be a beautiful way to celebrate their first year all on their own. Tell me the look you love and we can explore the right option.
What should I bring?
A spare outfit, nappies, wipes, a towel and anything that helps your little one feel settled are good things to pop in your bag. If there's a favourite toy or comforter you think might help, bring it along. I'll talk you through any other details once we've chosen your theme.
Weddings & engagements
From the very first plans to the final photographs, I'll be your biggest cheerleader and a friendly, reassuring presence. We'll plan the moments that matter to you together — and on your wedding day, I can quietly blend into the background or be right by your side when you need me.

How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you have your date, pop me a message! I genuinely love hearing how your plans are coming together. Lots of couples get in touch 12–18 months ahead, especially for popular weekends, but please don't worry if your wedding is sooner — it's always worth asking. I'd love to see if I can be part of your day.
How do we secure our wedding date?
Once you've decided you'd love me there (which makes me so excited!), I'll talk you through everything properly. A wedding booking deposit and signed agreement secure your date, and I'll explain the amount and payment schedule before you commit. No confusion, no awkward questions — we'll make sure everything feels straightforward right from the start.
Will we plan our must-have photographs together?
Absolutely — and this is something I really care about. Before your wedding, we'll sit down or chat through the people and moments that mean the most to you. Maybe it's a photograph with your grandparents, a special family group, the first look, or a tiny detail that carries a big story. We'll create a thoughtful list of those must-have photographs together, so you can relax on the day knowing I understand what matters to you. I'll also leave room for all the spontaneous moments you couldn't possibly plan.
Can we visit our wedding venue together beforehand?
Yes, of course — if you'd find that reassuring, I'd love to arrange a venue visit together where practical. We can have a wander, chat about your day, look at lovely spots for portraits and think about indoor options in case the weather has other ideas. If a visit isn't practical, we can still plan everything together using photos, a call and the venue information. Either way, you won't be left figuring it all out on your own.
Will you blend into the background or help us through the day?
Whatever feels right for you. Some couples love a photographer who quietly catches every genuine hug, happy tear and little glance without interrupting the moment. Others want a little more guidance, reassurance and a friendly face keeping things calm — and I'm more than happy to be that person, too. I can blend into the background when you want to soak it all in, and step forward when you need support, a little direction or someone to cheer you on. Think of me as your photographer, biggest cheerleader and an extra pair of helping hands.
Can you help us plan the photography timings?
Definitely! We can look at your plans together and work out when to make space for your family photographs, couple portraits and all those lovely little details, without making the day feel like one long photoshoot. I'll work around the celebration you've planned, not the other way round. My job is to help you feel organised and cared for, while leaving you plenty of time to enjoy being newlyweds.
Do you offer different lengths of wedding coverage?
Yes! I offer collections with up to three, six or ten hours of photography, and my Ever After ten-hour collection includes an engagement session. Whether you're planning a beautiful intimate ceremony or a full day surrounded by everyone you love, we'll chat about your plans and find the coverage that fits. I want your photographs to tell your story, not squeeze you into someone else's timetable.
Do you travel outside Suffolk and Norfolk?
Absolutely — tell me where you're getting married! I'm always excited to hear about a beautiful venue, whether it's close to home or a little further away. If your location involves additional travel costs, I'll talk you through those before you book so everything is clear.
Do you offer engagement photographs?
I do, and I love them! An engagement shoot is a lovely chance for us to get to know each other before the big day. We'll have a laugh, get you comfortable with my camera and create some gorgeous photographs of this exciting chapter. An engagement session is included with my current ten-hour Ever After collection, and other options are available on my wedding page.
We're nervous about posing — will you guide us?
Oh, please don't worry! You do not need to be natural in front of a camera or know what to do with your hands — that's where I come in. I'll gently guide you when you want some help, tell you when the light looks beautiful and probably make you laugh along the way. The rest of the time, I'll quietly watch for the real magic: your favourite people, the huge smiles, the nervous excitement and those happy tears. I'll be your biggest cheerleader from start to finish.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
Then we'll embrace a little British weather together! We can explore beautiful indoor light, covered spots at your venue or pop outside between showers if you fancy it. If we've visited the venue or planned it in advance, we'll already have a few backup ideas. You just concentrate on marrying your favourite person — I'll help with the photographs.
Will you photograph family groups as well as natural moments?
Every single time. Those important photographs with your favourite people deserve a place in your story, which is why we'll agree on your key family groups beforehand. That keeps everything calm and means we're not trying to remember names and combinations on the spot. Then I'll blend back into the celebrations to catch the beautiful unplanned bits: the proud looks, the tightest hugs, the laughter and the little moments you might not even notice happening.
When will we get our wedding gallery?
I know you'll be desperate to relive it all — I would be too! I'll tell you your expected gallery delivery timeframe when we book, as it can vary depending on the season and your collection. Every photograph will be chosen and edited with care, ready for you to revisit those incredible memories again and again.
What will we receive with our wedding collection?
Your wedding collection includes a private online gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution digital photographs. The final number of images will depend on the hours of coverage and how your day unfolds. Before booking, I'll walk you through exactly what your chosen collection includes, and I'll be here if you have any questions at all.
Family & location photography
Bare feet, big cuddles and your favourite people.
Where can we have our outdoor session?
We're spoilt for choice in Suffolk and Norfolk — from beautiful beaches and golden grasses to woodland walks and places that already mean something to your family. If you have a favourite spot, tell me! If not, I'll happily help you find somewhere that feels right.
How far ahead should we book a family or location session?
For a little flexibility with dates, it's lovely to enquire around two to four weeks ahead. If you'd love a summer evening, school-holiday slot or a particular weekend, earlier is even better. And if you've decided last minute that you want some beautiful photographs together, please ask — I may still have space.
Can we choose a studio session instead of an outdoor shoot?
Of course. The studio is wonderful for bright, timeless portraits with a calm, cosy feel; outdoors is perfect if you love fresh air, exploring and a little sandy-footed fun. I'll help you choose the option that suits your family best.
What if the weather is terrible?
We live in Britain, so sometimes the weather makes the plans for us! If it isn't suitable for the outdoor session we'd planned, we'll chat about the available alternatives or rescheduling options, in line with your booking arrangements. I want the experience to feel relaxed, not like we're battling the elements.
What if my children won't sit still?
Then they're being children, and that is absolutely fine! No one needs to be perfectly behaved for a beautiful family photograph. We can walk, play, cuddle, explore and follow their lead. I'm here to capture your family as they really are — not make everyone sit still for an hour.
Can we bring our dog?
Our four-legged family members are part of the story too! Let me know when you enquire so I can check whether your chosen location and session are suitable, then we'll talk through how to include them safely and comfortably.
What time of day is best?
For those soft, dreamy outdoor photographs, early morning or the hour or two before sunset can be especially beautiful. We'll also think about naps, bedtimes and how far you need to travel — gorgeous light is lovely, but happy little people matter even more.
One day, your great-grandchildren will see these photographs.
I hope they see just how deeply you loved, how joyfully you lived, and how beautiful this chapter really was.
Nothing is too silly.
Promise.
